The Twerps, “Dreamin”
I remember the first time I heard the sweet jangle-pop of Melbourne’s Twerps. It was one of my first days as the Visitation Rites intern actually. Emilie put their cassette in and talked with her friend about how they were “..the Australian Real Estate.” “Dreamin” has a bit less of that surf-pop vibe though. It’s more of a rolling fuzz-rock romper whose buzz is exciting, but not overly so. Check it out above and look out for the self-titled soon on Underwater Peoples and Chapter Music.
